Steven Felkoski
Research Associate
steven.felkoski@nih.gov Steven Felkoski graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) with a bachelor’s degree in biology, which laid the foundation for his career in electron microscopy. During his time at UMBC, he participated in the Phage Hunters program, sparking his initial interest in electron microscopy. Steven began his career at Johns Hopkins University in the clinical pathology department’s electron microscopy laboratory, where he spent five years honing his skills. His time at Johns Hopkins allowed him to master various electron microscopy techniques and refine his expertise.Nearly three years ago, Steven joined the Center for Cancer Research’s Electron Microscopy Laboratory (EML), where he has been actively involved in diverse electron microscopy projects. He excels in utilizing different techniques and plays a crucial role in testing new equipment and methodologies to enhance laboratory capabilities. Steven also contributes to the basic maintenance of equipment, including transmission electron microscopes.
