Single-Cell Analysis Facility

The rapid advancement of single cell and spatial profiling technology has provided new powerful tools to answer many biological questions, such as identifying new or rare cell populations and characterizing the complexities of tumor heterogeneity. Single cell technologies allow researchers to study individual cells within heterogeneous populations, uncovering cellular diversity, dynamics, and interactions that are obscured in bulk analyses. Spatial profiling technologies integrate tissue context into the analysis of cell expression phenotypes. These methods preserve the spatial organization of cells within their tissue structures and the molecules they express. Techniques like spatial transcriptomics and in situ sequencing unveil the native tissue environments' arrangement of molecules and cells, providing valuable insights into tissue architecture, cellular interactions, and spatially resolved molecular profiles.

Mission

The CCR Single Cell Analysis Facility (CCR SCAF) provides support for the highest value single cell sequencing and spatial 'omics technologies to CCR Investigators. Through an integrated support model for projects from experimental design, samples prep advice, single cell partitioning, sequencing library generation, informatic processing and interpretation, CCR SCAF aims to provide a support experience that makes single cell biology more readily accessible to CCR investigators.
