Hyperion XT – Suspension Mass Cytometry (CyTOF)

The MCC houses a fourth-generation Hyperion XT (CyTOF® XT) platform from Standard BioTools, optimized for high-dimensional, single-cell proteomic profiling of dissociated cell populations. By combining metal-tagged antibodies with time-of-flight mass spectrometry, Hyperion XT enables simultaneous quantification of 40+ protein markers per cell without spectral overlap or autofluorescence. The platform supports high-throughput, reproducible analysis across large sample cohorts, and is ideal for deep immune and cellular profiling, detection of rare cell populations, and system-level analyses requiring high parameter dimensionality without spatial context.

Hyperion XTi  – Imaging Mass Cytometry (IMC)

The MCC also offers the Hyperion XTi™ Imaging System, enabling highly multiplexed, spatially resolved proteomic analysis of intact tissues and cells. By combining metal-tagged antibody chemistry with laser ablation and time-of-flight mass spectrometry to preserve tissue architecture, Hyperion XTi allows simultaneous quantification of 40+ protein markers while maintaining spatial context. Hyperion XTi supports a wide range of sample types, including FFPE tissues and tissue microarray, fresh-frozen and fixed-frozen tissues, and cell smears This platform enables multi-parametric analysis at single-cell and sub-cellular resolution, supports three-dimensional imaging, and can be integrated with RNAscope™ for combined protein and RNA detection.
